California HVAC Rebates — Act Now Before Funding Runs Out

California rebates for energy-efficient HVAC systems are changing fast in 2026 — and many of the biggest savings programs are running out of money, closing, or already closed. If you’re replacing an old system with a high-efficiency heat pump or heat pump water heater, timing is everything.

🔥 GoZero Incentive Program — New, Strong, and Live

GoZero is the hottest rebate program in California right now. Unlike many older programs that require pre-installation reservations, GoZero lets homeowners and small businesses apply after installation — dramatically lowering the barrier to cash back.

Here’s what makes GoZero a must-mention on your rebates page:

  • Rebate amounts typically range from $1,000–$3,000+ per heat pump or heat pump water heater.

  • Eligible equipment must be ENERGY STAR® certified, zero-NOx emission heat pumps.

  • Applies to single-family homes, multifamily units, and small businesses in the South Coast AQMD area.

  • Funding is first-come, first-served — and many parts of the program (like multifamily funding) are already reserved or limited.

If you’re replacing gas heating with an electric heat pump — this is likely the most accessible and flexible rebate left on the table.

Why This Matters for California Homeowners

Every day you delay could mean:

  • Missing out on $1,000+ rebates that are budget-limited and disappearing fast.

  • Losing stacked savings — rebates + tax credits + utility incentives.

  • Paying full freight for heat pump upgrades that should be cheaper today.
