The cleaning of the package unit was good but the resealing of the ducts looks like a kids art project gone wrong. The airflow is worse now than before the work was done.

This upgrade not only restores the system's performance but also enhances its reliability. We stand by our work with a 30-day parts and labor warranty on repairs. Payment is structured as a 50% deposit upfront and the remaining 50% upon completion of the work, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction.

We successfully completed a comprehensive heat pump conversion. We began by removing and disposing of the existing equipment. Next, we connected the 115V/220V air handler to the existing electrical connection. A 3-ton 15.2-18 SEER Carrier inverter heat pump condenser was installed, followed by a 3-ton Carrier air handler. We also installed an electrical service disconnect box, electrical whip, and SS2 safety shut-off switch. The condensation line was blown out, and a condenser pad was installed. The system was connected to the existing supply plenum and air ducts, and the return cavity was insulated. The job concluded with sealing the register and installing a Carrier thermostat connected to the existing low voltage line.




I installed a new 2.5-ton package unit, re-routing exposed ducts on the roof and installing a new roof curb. A new disconnect box and power whip were added, and supply registers were sealed. I also installed a new breaker and provided crane assistance. The job included obtaining necessary permits and passing the Title 24 HERS test. I thoroughly inspected the HVAC system, checking temperatures, refrigerant pressures, and amp draws. The system is zoned, and I examined the attic for dampers, discovering they are installed inside the soffit, making them inaccessible from the attic. I found no airflow to the master bedroom despite the thermostat being set to on. The system is only four years old. I discussed the issue with the homeowner, who will contact the installing company to address the damper problem. I also highly recommend replacing all filters.




Upon inspection, the system was found to be iced up, indicating a more severe issue than initially diagnosed. The previous technician had identified a potential TXV metering device failure, but further examination revealed that the system required thawing. To prevent further damage, I advised the client to run the fan only and removed power from the service disconnect to protect the compressor. Although a complete diagnosis will require a return visit, the client requested an estimate for replacing the metering device. This detailed approach ensures accurate assessment and effective resolution.
