Affordable Heating and Air provides residential and commercial HVAC services, including air conditioning repair and installation, heating and furnace services, heat pump installation, duct cleaning and sealing, indoor air quality solutions, insulation services, and plumbing services including water heater repair and installation.
All work is performed by licensed professionals in accordance with California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) standards. CSLB License #1081403. Affordable Heating and Air is bonded and insured.
We serve residential and commercial customers across Los Angeles County and Ventura County, California.
Service availability in specific communities within these counties may vary. Contact us to confirm coverage for your address before scheduling.
Arrival Windows: We make every effort to arrive within the scheduled service window. Delays may occasionally occur due to traffic conditions, weather, or the extended needs of a prior service call. We will contact you if we anticipate a significant delay.
Cancellations: We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment without charge. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. We reserve the right to charge a trip fee for no-shows or cancellations made after a technician has been dispatched.
Site Access: You agree to provide our technicians with safe, clear, and unobstructed access to all relevant heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment. Failure to provide adequate access may result in rescheduling and may be subject to a service fee.
Affordable Heating and Air offers emergency HVAC repair service, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. Emergency service is dispatched by telephone from our service teams covering both counties.

What Qualifies as an Emergency: Emergency service is intended for situations that pose a safety risk or cause a significant loss of essential heating or cooling — such as a complete system failure during extreme weather, a suspected gas or refrigerant leak, HVAC-related electrical faults, or active water leaks originating from HVAC equipment. Non-urgent service requests received through the emergency line will be scheduled at the next available regular appointment.
Response Times: We dispatch technicians promptly for all confirmed emergency calls. Estimated arrival times vary depending on technician availability, geographic location within the service area, call volume, and traffic or weather conditions. Response times are estimates only. Affordable Heating and Air is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Emergency Service Fees: Service calls requested outside of regular office hours may be subject to an after-hours emergency service fee in addition to standard diagnostic, labor, and parts charges. The dispatcher will disclose any applicable emergency fee before a technician is dispatched. By proceeding with an emergency service request after fee disclosure, you acknowledge and accept those charges. All repair estimates are presented for your approval before work begins, except where immediate action is required to protect safety or prevent property damage.
Payment Due: Payment is due upon completion of service unless a prior arrangement has been made in writing. We accept major credit cards, personal checks, and cash. Financing options are available — ask about our current financing programs at the time of service.
Deposits: Large installation projects, including full system replacements, may require a deposit prior to the start of work. Deposit terms will be specified in your project estimate or service agreement.
Late Fees: Unpaid balances outstanding beyond 30 days from the invoice date may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Estimates: Written estimates are provided before the start of any billable repair or installation work. Estimates are based on the scope of work as assessed at the time of the service call. If the scope changes during the course of work, you will be informed and asked to authorize any additional charges before they are incurred.
Labor Warranty: Affordable Heating and Air provides a limited warranty on our workmanship for a period of 1 to 10 years from the date of service. This warranty covers defects in the installation or repair work performed by our technicians.
Equipment and Parts: Manufacturer warranties apply to all equipment and parts installed by our technicians, including but not limited to systems from Carrier, Lennox, Trane, Goodman, and other brands. Affordable Heating and Air does not provide its own warranty on parts or equipment beyond the manufacturer’s terms, but will assist customers in submitting and processing valid manufacturer warranty claims.
Warranty Exclusions: Workmanship warranties are void if the installed equipment or repaired system is subsequently tampered with, improperly maintained, modified by an unauthorized third party, or used in a manner inconsistent with the manufacturer’s specifications. Warranty coverage does not apply to damage caused by power surges, flooding, fire, acts of nature, or other circumstances outside the scope of the original work performed.
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Affordable Heating and Air’s liability for any claim arising from services rendered or this website shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of use, lost profits, or property damage not directly caused by our negligence.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable California law.
