We just purchased and had installed a Carrier Heat Pump from Affordable Heating and Air. Our air conditioner stopped working totally. We changed from a gas furnace/electric air conditioner to the Carrier Electric Heat Pump.

I had a problem with my Air Conditioning Control and Thermostat. I’m a fairly technical person and couldn’t figure it out setting the thermostat. The compressor would not start when cooling. I set the temperature at 73 degrees F. When indoor temperature increases to 75 degrees F., the air supply fan would start but the outside condensing unit compressor will not start. I observed the compressor would start only after it was 4 degrees F. or above the setpoint. I called Affordable Heating and Air and spoke to Sara and explained the situation. She was very courteous and showed me a lot of empathy and compassion about my frustration and problem. Sara assured me that she would send Juan to diagnose the problem. A couple of hours or so later Juan came to my house and he was very friendly and eager to see the controls to see what is going on, as I have a Venstar T1800 thermostat. Juan was very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable and checked all the install connections to my furnace air handler and condensing unit. The connections seemed fine. It was a bit complicated as my condensing unit was a heat pump able multi-stage compressor. My thermostat, although compatible, was not wired to work with this system. Juan along with a call to Jimmy, Affordable Heating and Air’s Tech Manager, diligently, and thoroughly diagnosed the problem texting photos and diagrams of the system. After several hours of troubleshooting and diagnosing, they were not only able to identify and fix the problem via wiring corrections, but ensure that the multi-stage compressor on my condensing unit performed as it was designed. Jimmy spoke to me on the phone and thoroughly explained everything to me. Wow, I am blown away, and so pleasantly surprised at the level of service I received from Juan and Jimmy. They are both so professional, courteous, and so knowledgeable. I enjoyed and appreciate talking to Jimmy as I like technical things about HVAC and he is a walking encyclopedia and wealth of information regarding HVAC and wiring diagram schematics. Juan and Jimmy not only provided me exceptional customer service, but ensured my HVAC was working as designed. I strongly recommend them. Donna Kreisler (Owner of Affordable Heating and Air) if you are reading this, Jimmy and Juan are a tremendous asset to the company. Do not lose them! Thank you Affordable Heating and Air for all your help in fixing this frustrating problem with my HVAC controls.

Affordable H&A replaced my 33 year old ducting. They came out the day after I contacted them and went over what they thought should be done, providing me with a quote. It was 19% and 34% less than other quotes (with the same work proposed). A week later the installation folks completed the work in about 6 hours. They carefully screened off the closet where they had access to the attic and lay tarps to not mark my floors. After they stripped out the old ducts they showed me how they were going to build a new box on the furnace and where the new ducting would be routed. They kept me informed each step of the process which was nice to learn what and how the work was done. One item on the estimate was not needed and they promptly credited the money I paid for that item.

In the photos you can see the shiny new ducts and the old gray ducting that was failing in some places and which had been modified by prior homeowners. Photos also how the closet was masked off to keep everything clean.

I give them a 5-star review and definitely recommend their work and communication.

I started the research for a new AC unit six months prior, and I spoke with about two dozen different vendors. The Tech from Affordable Heating and Air was very thorough when he did the site survey. Their pricing was the best and they offered a price match guarantee. The Installation Techs showed up on time and completed the install before 5PM PST. They cleaned up the entire area when they were done. I can say that I was really pleased with the quality of their work. I was pleased with the price for the new unit. This company is amazing! I don't even know where to begin. For starters, they do more than just Heating and Air. They also do roofing and home remodeling. We had an issue with our roof during some severe rainstorms and in the middle of it our furnace died. Edward from the company came out to inspect the furnace, and while he was here we mentioned the roofing issues we were having not knowing this company also does roofing. Edward spent 2 hours inspecting our furnace and the roof and went above and beyond. He was very thorough in diagnosing our issues and took his time talking and explaining to us what was going on. At the moment that I am writing this review we are currently in the works with an insurance claim to help cover the cost of all the repairs. And this company has been amazing helping us get what we need from insurance. I am very grateful for Edward and this company. And I can't wait to see how everything turns out when they are through with all of the repairs.
Hire this company! Don't question it! They know what they are doing and their customer service is truly top notch.

We recently got 3 mini split units from Affordable Heating and Air. It was a seamless experience from start to finish. Easy quoting, best price( we got 4 different quotes from different companies), all staff was polite and helpful. From customer service, installers to service call, all very professional. We just had Jeremy Russel come out today on Christmas Day, we were so grateful. He did his due diligence and throughly inspected and everything was good. The installation of my HVAC system went well, but follow-up wasn't very good. I paid what I thought was a bit too high a price, $11,000 for an 800-square-foot home, but I can live with that. After the installation, which included having an installer crawl around under my house, I had two new problems: a dead animal smell coming out from under the house, and the water coming out from my kitchen faucet had been reduced to a trickle. I had the company send someone out, but had to pay for a service call. The service call was not helpful at all. The technician reported that it seemed like a "plumbing smell," and as far as the trickle coming out of the kitchen faucet, he gave me some line of unhelpful nonsense about how I'd have to basically become a plumber and deal with it myself. I am still living with the faucet problem — I'll attach a photo showing the water coming out at FULL STRENGTH. As far as the dead animal smell, of course that's exactly what it was, not a "plumbing smell." It was a big dead cat that, maybe just by coincidence, appeared under my house just after the installers were working there. I'll also try to attach a picture of the dead cat, but I had to pay to have someone else come out to find and remove the cat. So I keep shelling out extra money after the installation, and I still don't have my kitchen back working the way it was before.

The mini split in my unit wasn’t working properly. AC worked fine, but heat wasn’t working and I consistently received error codes when the unit was in heating mode. Juan promptly arrived to fix the until. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He took his time to examine and assess the issue and fixed it. He cleaned the filters and even stayed for a while to ensure the unit remained working properly. Highly recommend Juan Gongora. He’s the best.

I had brand new heating and air installed in my condo two weeks ago. It would be amazing if spending this much money came without a hitch, but that just wouldn’t be reality with something as complex as a whole new system in a home that hasn’t had both heating and air in it before. But I will say that Affordable did everything in their power to make sure their promises were met. They never promised that there wouldn’t be issues, just that they would make them right if any came up, and it was possible to do so. The installers for my job, Rogelio, Rigoberto and Bryan were excellent. They are hardworking, reliable, and professional. They listened to my concerns and did everything to address them. I knew I was going to buy a system one way or another, but I am glad I went with Affordable.
