Most homes in the City of Los Angeles — including the San Fernando Valley communities of Chatsworth, Northridge, Granada Hills, and Porter Ranch — are LADWP customers.
Eligible LADWP residential customers may qualify for $1,000 to $1,250 per ton on qualifying central ducted heat pump systems. Qualifying ductless mini-split and multi-split systems receive $1,500 to $2,500 per ton. LADWP’s current application states that mini-split and multi-split systems must serve the entire home.
Rebate tiers by efficiency rating:
Central ducted systems begin at 15.2 SEER2 / 7.7 HSPF2 and reach the $1,250-per-ton tier at 19.6 SEER2 / 8.9 HSPF2. Ductless systems begin at 15.2 SEER2 / 7.8 HSPF2 and reach the $2,500-per-ton tier at 20.5 SEER2 / 9.1 HSPF2, subject to LADWP’s entire-home service requirement.

The Tri-County Regional Energy Network (3C-REN) covers Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties. As of January 2026, approximately $9.5 million in funding is available for single-family homes in these counties.
