We were not concerned at that time because the weather was getting warmer, but we had it checked anyway by someone from the company that installed it some 15+ years ago. The technician told us that the problem was the inducer motor. He said it had to be replaced (we paid $99 for the check-up). Total quote was $1,100+. Recently, we had another technician from another company check it out for us (we paid $125). He said same thing - inducer motor problem. He quoted us $2,400+ for the “Inducer Assembly Variable Speed OEM with Gasket” - parts and labor. Then, we contacted Affordable Heating & Air. They negotiated for them to do the inspection for free. The technician, Javier Colmenero, came out and inspected the system. He said that he didn’t see any problem with the inducer motor. Instead, he said the problem was with a damaged capacitor. He quoted us between $400 and $450 for labor and parts. We agreed, and he did it after a few days. Our heater now works. Javier did a great job, and he saved us money. As their name indicates, Affordable Heating & Air - they are very affordable. Not only that, they just don’t guess of what the problem is. Javier did a thorough inspection. Thank you very much.
