Yes, we are in Chatsworth. Our office is on Cozycroft Avenue, our trucks are stored here, and our technicians live in the San Fernando Valley. When you call for HVAC service in Chatsworth, your request isn’t sent to a dispatch center 2 hours away. We dispatch locally, right here in your city.
That local presence matters when your AC quits during a July heat wave, when your furnace won’t start on a January morning, or when smoke from a fire in the hills to the north raises quick questions about your indoor air.
Response time is faster, technicians know the neighborhoods and the housing stock, and follow-up service comes from the same team that performed the initial work.

Eugene did an amazing job. He was really quick at completing the service!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
Originally I had given 5 stars but I am changing my review because the permit Affordable pulled for the heater is not closed yet. It has been months since the job was finished and we thought everything was ok. Unfortunately the permit inspection was submitted wrong by the company and it has not been finaled by the city. We have reached out to the company a few times via phone and email for help and they have not responded. Exactly what we needed. Benji listened to our needs and gave us what we asked for. Jeremiah and his crew did an excellent job with installation. The Affordable team was exceptional at navigating Santa Monica’s permit process. We are very pleased with our affordable heater only option for our Santa Monica rental.+1Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
Juan was amazing. He is very knowledgeable and gave me several options for service. He even came out on a Sunday of a long holiday weekend and that was greatly appreciated. From diagnosing our issue to completing the repair, it only took about an hour. Super friendly and great attitude as well.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Chatsworth is not a generic valley suburb. The northwest corner of the San Fernando Valley has its own combination of climate, housing stock, and infrastructure that determines HVAC service availability:
Extreme summer heat.
Chatsworth regularly experiences afternoons above 100°F, with July and August highs pushing 105°F or higher. The Santa Susana Mountains to the north trap heat in the basin. This means AC systems here log more cooling hours than most of the country and wear out faster.
Old tract homes with original ductwork.
Almost all of Chatsworth was built during the residential expansions of the 1960s and 1970s. Homes in neighborhoods like Winnetka Woods, Chatsworth Lake Manor, and Mason Avenue often have HVAC systems on their second or third replacement.
The ductwork and insulation, however, have never been updated. Equipment is modernized. Infrastructure that delivers conditioned air rarely does.
Wildfire smoke from the Santa Susana Mountains.
Chatsworth sits directly downwind of frequent brush fire activity. Post-smoke duct evaluation, filter upgrades, and coil cleaning are recurring calls after significant fire events in the mountains to the north and west.
Santa Ana wind conditions.
Strong seasonal winds bring dust and debris that load condenser coils, clog filters, and create airflow problems that homeowners often misdiagnose as equipment failure.
Chatsworth is our headquarters, so every service we offer is available here, often with faster response times than anywhere else we serve. Here is the full list:
Our team has completed HVAC repairs, replacements, and installations throughout Los Angeles County. View our local HVAC project portfolio to see examples of our work.
If you have owned a home in Chatsworth for more than a decade, you have probably replaced your AC unit. Here is why equipment struggles here specifically:
Our Chatsworth office operates a 24/7 emergency dispatch service. When your AC dies during a heat wave, when your furnace quits on a cold night, or when your CO detector alarms during winter, someone answers.
Response times depend on demand and location, but Chatsworth calls are usually the fastest because our office is here. During peak summer weeks, Care Club members get priority scheduling over non-members. This benefit often pays for itself the first time a July heat wave fills up the schedule.

Yes. Many Chatsworth homes from the 1960s and 1970s have original or deteriorated ductwork that undermines HVAC performance. We evaluate ducts during every AC installation, tune-up, and IAQ assessment. When ducts need work, we handle duct repair, sealing, or replacement as part of the project.
Yes. Wildfire smoke deposits ash on condenser coils, clogs filters, and settles in ductwork, where it recirculates for months. After significant fire events, we recommend coil cleaning, filter evaluation, duct cleaning, and MERV 13 filter compatibility. Chatsworth’s proximity to the Santa Susana Mountains is a concern.

We successfully installed a 4-ton Goodman heat pump condenser and air handler, ensuring optimal performance. The existing equipment was removed and hauled away. We connected the air handler to the electrical system and installed a new electrical disconnect box and whip. A secondary drain line and drain pan were added for efficient water management. The furnace platform was rebuilt, and supply and return ducts were replaced. We also installed a Daikin thermostat and safety shut-off switch. All work was completed with extended warranties and a 10-year labor warranty. The permit and HERS test costs were included in the estimate.
I successfully addressed a condensation line issue by clearing a significant blockage. The line was obstructed, causing water to back up and potentially leading to damage. Using specialized tools, I carefully accessed and cleared the line, ensuring proper drainage. The process involved meticulous inspection and cleaning to prevent future issues. Payment was received via Zelle, completing the transaction smoothly.

I completed the installation of a Carrier Performance 3-ton, 15.2 SEER2 heat pump package unit with R454B refrigerant. The installation included a Carrier residential warranty, a regular crane for lifting, and a cap gas line. I used an existing NEST thermostat and existing air ducts, ensuring no replacements were necessary. The job also involved sealing supply registers, obtaining LA County permit, and conducting HERS testing. Labor included standard installation practices. Payment was made with a $1000 deposit upon arrival and the balance upon startup, with a 4% credit card fee.
We completed a comprehensive installation of a Carrier Comfort 3 TON Up To 15.2-18 SEER2 Inverter Heat Pump Condenser using R454B refrigerant. The installation included a condenser pad, disconnect box, electrical power whip, and a drain pan. We also installed a flush line-set and a secondary safety switch. The ductwork was updated with R8 return and supply ducts, and we provided a duct warranty. The client was informed that the condenser location, being too close to an existing window, would not pass code. The project included standard installation labor, but drywall repair costs were not included. Additionally, a change order was issued for the installation of three new R8 supply ducts for a second system.
I tried this company for the first time recently. Jeremy was very friendly and knowledgeable. He kept us posted as to his arrival time as well.

I successfully installed three new R-8 ducts for the secondary system. Each duct was meticulously measured and cut to the precise specifications required for optimal performance. The ducts were then carefully assembled, ensuring all connections were secure and airtight. Insulation was applied to enhance energy efficiency and noise reduction. After installation, I conducted a thorough inspection to confirm that each duct was properly aligned and functioning as intended. The system was tested to ensure it met performance standards, and all work was completed in a timely and professional manner.

During the service, we identified a grounded compressor. After thorough inspection, it was determined that the compressor needed to be replaced. We have contacted Goodman to gather warranty information and next steps. The customer will be informed about the warranty status and potential repair options. We ensured all safety protocols were followed throughout the process.

Upon inspection, I identified a significant issue with the refrigerant line set, which was leaking. This leak posed a risk to the system's efficiency and overall performance. After a thorough evaluation, I determined that repairing the line set was not a viable option due to the extent of the damage. Therefore, I recommended replacing the entire line set to ensure the system operates effectively and efficiently. The replacement was completed, and the system is now functioning optimally.
I highly recommend Javier from Affordable Heating and Air. We had a difficult issue with a new air handler that three other technicians had already looked at without being able to fully diagnose the problem. Javier was the fourth technician to take a look, and he finally got to the root of it.What really stood out was his patience and thoughtful approach. He took the time to carefully work through the system, troubleshoot the issue, and explain what he was finding along the way rather than jumping to conclusions. His persistence and attention to detail made all the difference. After dealing with this issue for quite some time, it was a huge relief to finally have someone figure out what was actually going on. Really appreciate Javier’s professionalism, knowledge, and commitment to getting it right. Highly recommend!

Upon arrival, the ACiQ system was non-operational, with the air-handler blower rattling above 20% operation. The thermostat displayed an EH61 error. After power restoration, the unit briefly started then shut down with a water-level alarm. A test with the CN5 water connection disconnected allowed it to run for five minutes without cooling, displaying EH0E. The T2 sensor measured 8.35 , and the blower was unbalanced. Refrigerant pressures were 222.5/222.9 psig. Recommend replacing the indoor control board, CN47 T2 sensor harness, and CN5 water-level harness, and addressing the blower issue.

Maintenance in LA

During the maintenance visit, I identified a clog in the condensation line, which was impeding the system's efficiency. I carefully inspected the line and removed the obstruction, ensuring the system could drain properly. This action restored optimal performance and prevented potential water damage. The system is now functioning smoothly, and the risk of future clogs has been significantly reduced.
I was very happy with the service and the installation of my unit
I needed an estimate to add more vents to my central ac, which my technician did, but he also showed me how to clean my exterior ac unit and informed me of a great rebate with no pressure at all, he just wanted to be helpful and make me aware!
Murad was pleasant, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. He took the time to explain our problem and the potential solutions and really gained our trust. We had an excellent experience with Murad.
So helpful, honest and identified the problem right away. Respectful and efficient.
Our tech was very helpful and explained all of the options to us, as well as tried every option that was available to fix the ac unit. He went over all of the financing options with us and answered all of our questions.
I liked my service until the end, when the technician told me I was being ripped off and I discovered that my x king 10 boombox was missing.
excellent work
Thank you Weston for figuring it all out!! Yay! I'm very happy with my service!!
