Javier was a great technician! He explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. I ask a lot of questions!! He was very thorough with his inspection & patient as I explained how to find my house. He didn’t impart any judgement and I could tell he genuinely just wanted to help. When it comes time to replace my 48 year old unit, I’ll know who to call. Thanks!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.

Excellent experience getting our furnace/AC system replaced from one that was poorly sized and installed to a heat pump perfect for our family. A complete team effort from Ryan right-sizing the system for our home, to Alfredo handling things in the office, and to Rogelio & Rigo’s exceptional craftsmanship during install. Thanks again!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
We had our 6 month maintenance appointment with Freddy today. He checked the condenser and aur handler subsystems to make sure they worked properly. Freddy is knowledgeable, efficient and personable. He liked our cat. Freddy noticed that we had closed some of the vents all the way and he warned us that is bad for the system, so now we are leaving all the vents at least partially open. He also warned us that we should install a surge protector to safeguard the condenser subsystem against power spikes, so now we are looking into it. There was one issue with the Maintenance call —though it’s not Freddy’s fault: he did not replace the air filters, as they don’t carry the right size (10”x30” and 10”x24”) This makes no sense, as Affordable installed those filters 6 months ago with the system! Air filter replacement is kind of the main point of the maintenance call, so I’m not happy. Now I have to go out and buy the filters myself. I think Affordable should reimburse me for the cost of the filters.+0Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.

If something has stopped working—no cooling, no heat, or a strange noise—this is a repair situation and usually needs quick attention. Check out AC repair in Granada Hills, heating repair, or furnace repair and replacement, depending on your issue.
Heat pumps are acting up. Heat pumps have their own failure patterns, distinct from AC or furnace failure patterns. See heat pump repair in Granada Hills.
You’re weighing whether to fix it or replace it. A system that keeps needing repairs, or one old enough that parts are harder to source, puts you in decision territory rather than emergency territory. See AC installation and heating installation to learn what each option involves.
If a room or addition never feels comfortable and the ductwork doesn’t reach that space, like a converted garage, an addition, or a home office, extending the ducts may not be the most effective solution. See mini-split AC installation in Granada Hills.

Either the air itself feels off, or the ducts need attention. Dust, stuffiness, or original ductwork point toward duct and vent cleaning or broader indoor air quality services.
If nothing is wrong yet and you want to keep it that way, regular maintenance can catch small problems before they become serious issues. See HVAC maintenance and Care Club plans.
Our main services are air conditioning and heating, including repair, installation, and regular maintenance to prevent emergencies. We work with central AC and heat pump systems, gas furnaces, ductless mini-split systems, and the ductwork that delivers air throughout your home. We also handle attic insulation, since it’s more closely linked to HVAC performance than many homeowners realize.
Heat pumps are now becoming a major part of the conversation because a single system can handle both heating and cooling. This is instead of separate equipment for each season. See heat pump services for more details.
Granada Hills is part of the City of Los Angeles and gets electricity and water from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. This affects HVAC costs because LADWP offers rebate programs for qualifying heat pump and air conditioning installations. The rebate amounts depend on the type of equipment and its efficiency rating, not a single set amount.
As of this writing, qualifying central ducted heat pump systems can earn $1,000 to $1,250 per ton. Qualifying ductless mini-split or multi-split systems that serve the entire home can earn $1,500 to $2,500 per ton, depending on the matched SEER2 and HSPF2 ratings. Standard central AC systems are eligible for a small rebate.
Program terms and funding change, so we confirm the current status of your specific project rather than quote a number that might already be outdated. The federal Section 25C tax credit expired December 31, 2025, and does not apply to 2026 installations — see California HVAC rebates for the full current picture.
Granada Hills is in the San Fernando Valley, so cooling systems here run longer than in coastal areas of Los Angeles. This longer use means parts wear out faster, and a poorly maintained system costs more to run. This isn’t just a sales pitch—it’s how HVAC equipment works under constant heat.
Compliance with local regulations is a priority for us. Our installations and repairs meet all required standards, ensuring safety and longevity for your HVAC systems.
There isn’t one rule for every system, but some questions always matter: How often has it needed repairs recently? Are repair costs higher than replacement? Was your home truly comfortable when the system worked? It’s advisable to have an in-person assessment for this decision, since duct condition and system size are just as significant as equipment age.
Some situations need an immediate call, such as a gas smell, sparking, or burning electrical components. This is also true for a system that keeps tripping the breaker or has an active carbon monoxide alarm. For most other issues, such as reduced airflow, uneven temperatures, high bills, or strange noises, it’s better to schedule a diagnostic visit. This is instead of waiting to see if the problem goes away.

Yes, Granada Hills is LADWP territory. Qualifying heat pump installations can earn rebates that vary by system type and efficiency rating. Be sure to confirm the current program terms before choosing equipment, since rebate amounts and funding can change.
Focus on how often you’ve needed repairs, not just the system’s age. If your system only needs occasional repairs and otherwise works well, replacement usually isn’t necessary. But if you’ve had several repairs in the last year or two, or your system has never kept your home comfortable, it’s time to consider replacement.
Yes, for additions, converted spaces, and rooms where existing ductwork doesn’t reach well. See the mini-split installation in Granada Hills to see how that differs from central AC.
At least once a year, ideally in the spring before the cooling season starts. Twice a year, in spring and fall, is an excellent idea for systems that get heavy use or for homes with pets or nearby construction.
Call for service right away instead of waiting to see if it fixes itself. Demand for HVAC service increases quickly during heat waves, so calling sooner usually means you’ll be scheduled faster.
Yes, for urgent situations such as complete system failure or safety concerns like gas odors or electrical issues. Call to describe what’s happening, and we’ll advise you on next steps.
